Junior Knights Sledge Hockey
Focussing on the Marketing Campaign to create brand visibility and setup donation support.

The Kingston Junior Knights Sledge Hockey Team project was a heartwarming and meaningful endeavor aimed at raising funds and increasing awareness for a program empowering children with disabilities. Despite having secured $9,000, the team faced a funding gap of $6,000 to cover essential costs such as equipment and ice time. Furthermore, their lack of a strong online presence and limited visibility posed significant challenges to their fundraising efforts.
One of the major hurdles was the team’s minimal digital footprint, which made it difficult to connect with potential donors and sponsors. Additionally, the team struggled to foster long-term corporate partnerships, further limiting their financial stability. To address these challenges, a comprehensive approach combining storytelling, digital strategy, and community outreach was employed.
A one-page website was developed using Wix, serving as a central hub for donations and storytelling. Social media campaigns featuring player spotlights and hashtags like #KnightsOnIce helped create an emotional connection with the audience. Collaboration with local businesses and the Kingston Frontenacs hockey team added a local touch to the fundraising efforts. The campaign culminated in a well-promoted community event, bolstered by visually impactful materials like flyers and banners with QR codes for donations.
The results were incredibly rewarding. The results were transformative. We were selected by the client amongst the other 8 teams and we were given a chance to pitch for client and the client was happy to take over our marketing plan of work and continued collaborating further with the team.
And on the night of the match, at the arena, our promotional video was played as well.
